SONIC SEA
Sonic Sea is an Emmy-winning documentary about noise pollution in the oceans co-produced with the Natural Resources Defense Council over the course of two and half years. During the first year, I worked closely with the lead producer and director on every aspect of the film, from early concepting meetings through production – including logging every piece of archival footage culled in the early stages of research, organizing and executing live-action shoots locally and in New York and Canada, and overseeing animation production and editorial. In the final year of production, I took over for the lead producer when she departed the company and became the post-production supervisor and lead producer, overseeing and producing additional live-action shoots and animations and new editorial changes required once the film was bought by Discovery for distribution, handling tracking and licensing for over nine hundred individual shots, and overseeing final sound, editorial, and delivery, in addition to producing the trailer and marketing materials.
